The television receiver of the color image "Temp-22" was experimentally produced from I quarter of 1959. Since 1958, mass experiments on the reception and transmission of color images began in the USSR. Exhibited at the All-Union Exhibition of Achievements of the National Economy in Moscow in 1959, a prototype of a color TV set - '' Temp-22 '' was developed in 2 versions. The first option had its own speaker system, and the second option is designed for the use of external. The TV set received a black-and-white and color image on a three-color mask kinescope of the 53LK4Ts type. Screen size 380x490 mm. The speaker phone had 28 radio tubes, two 3-watt loudspeakers. The power consumed by the device did not exceed 300 watts. TV was assembled on the basis of the serial American color TV "Admiral". The kinescope contains three spotlights and a screen consisting of a large number of points of colored phosphors (red, blue and green luminescence) and a special metal mask with a large number of holes. The electron beam of each spotlight passes through the mask hole and hits the corresponding phosphor point for the spotlight. Thus, one electron beam should hit only the luminescent points of the red glow, the second only at the phosphor points of the blue glow and the third only at the phosphor points of the green glow. As a result, three spotlights create independently and at the same time red, blue and green images, which together create an image of the transmitted object in natural colors. The switch of television channels, brightness and volume control are displayed on the upper part of the front panel of the case, and the network switch is located under the screen. All other control knobs are located on the right side and back walls of the case, two loudspeakers are installed on the left side wall. The TV is easy to operate and has, in comparison with b / w TVs, two additional adjustment elements - phase adjustment and color tone adjustment. In the TV set 30 (28) radio tubes, 16 germanium diodes.Used in the scheme: inertial automatic adjustment of the frequency of the subcarrier generator, key automatic gain control, inertial synchronization scheme, noise-resistant selector, accelerating voltage stabilization, etc. Main technical data: Sensitivity on the channels of image signals 100 µV. At the beginning of 1960, 50 television sets were made for experiments on receiving color television programs, and in the middle of 1960 they were experimentally discontinued.
